A 20 week live program with Rick Reynolds
TranceBreakers: The Journey from Fear to Freedom
Most people think hypnosis is something a hypnotist does to you. Usually the trance came first.
It came from childhood, family, culture, religion, heartbreak, and the conclusions you reached about yourself before you were old enough to know better. You did not choose those conclusions. You absorbed them. Then you built a life around them.
Twenty weeks to see the programming you are running, interrupt what no longer serves you, and start building new patterns on purpose.
The trance you are already in
If you had to consciously decide everything, you would never get out of the driveway. So your mind takes what happened early, draws conclusions, and runs them automatically for the rest of your life.
Some of that programming is useful. Some of it was written by a frightened child who did not have the whole story.
It sounds like this.
You probably recognized at least one. Most people recognize three.
Here is the part that matters. You are not walking around thinking those sentences. You are living them. They show up as the apology you make before you speak, the job you will not leave, the conversation you rehearse for two days, the way your chest tightens when someone goes quiet.
Fear is mostly false evidence appearing real. It lives in memory and in imagination. It almost never lives in the present moment.
What is a TranceBreaker
Rick has called his private practice TranceBreakers since he began working as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist and Soul Coach in 2003.
Over the years the work turned out to be less about hypnotizing people and more about helping them wake up from the trance they were already in.
This is not about getting rid of trance. You would not want that even if you could. Patterns, beliefs, shortcuts and automatic reactions are how anyone gets through an ordinary day.
A TranceBreaker is someone who can notice the programming while it is running. That is the whole skill. Once you can see it, you get a choice. Before you can see it, you only get a reaction.
Awareness is the first step to freedom.
And freedom here does not mean fear disappears. Fear is not the enemy. Fear is an overprotective bodyguard who never got word that the danger passed. You do not fire the bodyguard. You thank it, and you retrain it.
Freedom means fear no longer gets to drive.
Why insight alone does not change us
Somewhere in a book, a therapy session, a retreat, a long drive, or at two in the morning, you saw it clearly. You knew exactly what you do and where you learned it.
And then Thursday happened, and you did it again.
That is not a character flaw. That is how the mind works.
Insight is a thought. Programming is deeper than thought. You can know a belief is false and still feel it in your body, and the body usually wins. That gap between knowing and feeling is where most personal growth quietly dies.
Closing it takes three things that a weekend cannot give you. Feeling, not just understanding. Practice, not just information. And time, because a pattern that took thirty years to build does not dissolve on a Saturday.
So this is twenty weeks. Learn something. Feel it. Practice it in your actual life. Come back and talk about what happened. Then go again.
Coaching skills are life skills
Rick has trained and mentored more than 150 coaches. Somewhere along the way he noticed something he did not expect.
The people learning these skills were not just getting better at coaching. They were getting better at being human.
They listened differently. They asked better questions. They stopped rushing in to fix people. They noticed their own reactions before those reactions ran the show. They started catching their own patterns in real time.
Their marriages changed. Their friendships changed. The conversations with their kids and their parents changed.
The tools were not only making them better practitioners. They were making them more conscious people.
Which raised an obvious question. Why should you have to become a professional coach to learn skills that would improve almost every relationship in your life?
You should not. That is what this program is.
You do not have to become a coach to benefit from learning how great coaches listen, communicate, ask questions and help people find their own answers.
What could change in everyday life
None of that requires a certificate. It requires practice, and someone to practice with.
The point of this program is not to make you a coach. It is to make you better at being a human being. A better partner, parent, adult child, sibling, friend, leader, listener. And a better guide for yourself.
The twenty week journey
Each week we take one idea, experience it together, and learn a practice you can use immediately. The order matters. You cannot rewrite a belief you have not seen, and you cannot see it until you can hear yourself think.
Name what you are actually afraid of. The first answer is rarely the real one, so we go underneath it until we reach the root. Then you set the intentions that will steer the next five months.
Two tools from an FBI hostage negotiator that quietly change ordinary conversations. The goal is not to repeat words back. The goal is to help another person feel seen. Your attention is the most valuable thing you can give anyone.
A good question opens a door that advice slams shut. You will learn to ask them of other people, and of yourself, which is harder and more useful.
The answers you need are already somewhere inside you. You will learn to reach them, and how to help someone else reach theirs without becoming responsible for their feelings or their decisions.
The facts of your life do not change. The meaning does. And meaning is what has been running things.
Feelings are not problems to be fixed. They are information, and they are built to move through you. We work with tapping, and look at what high sensitivity actually is and is not.
Ask for what you want instead of what you do not want. Move old statements about yourself into the past tense. Small changes in language, surprisingly large changes in identity.
How a belief becomes a story, how a story becomes a feeling, and how a feeling becomes your life. Then how to find the lie sitting underneath the fear.
One entire session on the most common lie in our culture. You were born enough. You will die enough. Nothing in the middle changes it, though most of us spend the middle trying.
Love that has to be earned is not love, it is a wage. We look at where you learned to work for it, and what it takes to let it in now.
Byron Katie's four questions and the turnaround. You will not just learn the process. You will run your own judgment through it, which is a different experience entirely.
Why we forgive, and what happens when you no longer believe there is anything left to forgive. Then an ancient Hawaiian prayer that keeps surprising people who expected nothing from it.
The part of manifestation nobody talks about is the letting go. The other part nobody talks about is the action.
Purpose is a theme, not a job title. Purpose is the river. Your passions are the scenery. A guided session to meet the version of you already living it.
A forced choice process that surfaces your five real priorities. Most people are surprised by at least two of them, and relieved by one.
Thoughts, feelings and physical sensation are three doors into the same room. This week we use the body's door, which is often the one that opens.
I, we, us. The order that keeps a relationship healthy. Why always and never are feeling words rather than facts. And how two people find their way back to love in the middle of a conflict.
Nine types. You have all nine in you and you live among all nine. You have a personality. You are not your personality.
Grief is love. There is no normal, which means everything is normal. And underneath most of our other fears sits the one we do not say out loud.
The last reframe. There are no mistakes, so you cannot make one. Then we look honestly at what you are carrying out the door with you.
The plan is real, and it also breathes. If the group needs a second week on something, we take it. Twenty weeks of teaching that ignores the people in the room is just a webinar with better manners.
What you will actually walk away with
Deep listening, mirroring and labeling. How to make someone feel seen without agreeing, fixing or taking over.
Open questions that help people find their own answers, including the person in your mirror.
Change the meaning of an event without lying to yourself about what happened.
Tapping and somatic practices for moving an emotion through instead of storing it for later.
Spot the old story in the moment it fires, and know what to do in the next ten seconds.
The difference between empathy and responsibility, and how to be close to someone without absorbing them.
Language that asks for what you want, in fewer words, without the ten minute preamble.
A set of practices you can run alone, at midnight, when nobody is available and something has gone wrong.

About Rick
Rick Reynolds spent about two decades in television news as a reporter, producer, executive producer and news director. The job trained him to listen hard, hold the thread, remember the detail that mattered and hear the one sentence a person did not realize they had just said.
Then he left. And for a while he was lost. He had believed the newsroom was his purpose, and without it he could not tell what he was for. He worked in a catering business making sandwiches and wondered what had happened to his life.
Hypnotherapy training came next, almost sideways. That was when he understood that purpose is a theme rather than a job. The theme had never left. Only the form had changed.
He began his private hypnotherapy and coaching practice in 2003 and has called it TranceBreakers ever since. He is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Soul Coach and Reiki Master. Since 2011 he has lived and worked in Sedona, Arizona, guiding people through deep transformational work, including as a soul guide with Sedona Soul Adventures. He has trained and mentored more than 150 coaches.
TranceBreakers is his own independent body of work, built over more than twenty years of private practice. It does not certify anyone in anything. It teaches you what he teaches practitioners, because it turns out this was never only for practitioners.
His own spiritual life is real and he will not hide it. He also works easily with people who are religious, agnostic or atheist, and none of this asks you to believe anything you do not already believe.
Format and logistics
Twenty weekly sessions on Zoom, about two hours each. Roughly forty hours of live teaching and experiential work across about five months.
The group stays small on purpose, so everyone gets coached and not just taught.
Five months is a real commitment, and it is fair to hesitate over it. So here is the honest case for it.
Twenty weeks is not twenty weeks of content. It is twenty weeks of your actual life happening while you learn. Your mother calls. Your partner shuts down. Work goes sideways. The old pattern fires on a Tuesday and this time you are in the middle of learning what to do with it, and there is a room to bring it back to on Thursday.
That is the part a weekend cannot manufacture. The length is not the price of the program. It is the mechanism.
Investment
Founding group tuition
$3,497
Paid in full.
The program originally ran as a private two person experience at $10,000 per participant.
Opening it to a small group lowers the price and changes the experience. You get less private airtime than those two people did. You also get something they did not, which is a room of people working on the same things at the same time. Most weeks that turns out to be the more valuable half.
There is no discount code coming and there is no countdown clock. If the timing is wrong, the timing is wrong, and the program will run again.
There is no cost and no obligation. Everyone talks with Rick before enrolling, because twenty weeks together is long enough that it should be a mutual yes. If it is not the right fit, he will say so.
Questions
No. Rick is, and he will not pretend otherwise. But the program is built to work whether you are devoutly religious, casually spiritual, agnostic or firmly atheist. Nothing here requires you to adopt a belief. Where an idea has a spiritual frame, you are welcome to take the practical version and leave the rest.
No. This is education and coaching. It is not therapy, it is not treatment, and it does not diagnose or cure anything. Some people do this alongside therapy, which works well. If you are dealing with something clinical, please keep your clinician, and let's talk about whether the timing is right.
No, and that is deliberate. This program does not grant a coaching credential or certification of any kind. You will learn skills that professional coaches use. You will not receive a professional qualification, and nobody should present it as one.
No, and it matters to say so plainly. The TranceBreakers framing, the belief work, the eight core beliefs and the way this is sequenced are Rick's own, developed over twenty years of practice.
Other pieces belong to other people and are taught with credit. Mirroring and labeling come from Chris Voss. The four questions come from Byron Katie. Tapping comes from the EFT lineage. Ho'oponopono is a traditional Hawaiian practice. The Enneagram is ancient and belongs to nobody. High sensitivity research comes from Elaine Aron. The passions process draws on the work of Janet Bray Attwood.
What Rick brings is twenty years of knowing which tool a person needs on a given Tuesday, and how to hold a room while they use it.
Life happens across five months. Every session is recorded and shared. You will miss the live experience of that week, which is the real value, so try to protect the time. But missing one or two will not sink you.
You will be invited, never required. Some people volunteer in week one. Some watch for a month first. Both are fine. That said, watching other people work is a surprisingly large part of how this lands, so you will be affected either way.
Yes, and several sections are far more useful when you do. Talk with Rick about it first. Doing this next to someone you live with is powerful and occasionally awkward, and it helps to go in with clear agreements about what you will and will not bring into the room.
Nobody can promise you a transformed life in twenty weeks, and you should be suspicious of anyone who does.
What is reasonable to expect is this. You will recognize your patterns faster. You will have practices you can run on your own when something goes wrong. You will listen differently and the people close to you will notice before you do. Fear will still show up. It will have less say in what you do next.
Yes. Five monthly payments of $749, beginning the week the group starts. Paying in full costs less overall.
The invitation
You were a child, and you drew reasonable conclusions from the evidence available to you. Then you grew up and kept running them, because nobody handed you the file and said this part is optional now.
This is the file.
Twenty weeks, a small group, and one skill underneath all the others. Seeing the programming while it runs, so that what happens next is a choice.
A conversation, not a sales call. No cost, no obligation.
